Youth Fishing Derby for ages 3-15 on May 7
Each year Fort Carson has a long standing tradition of producing some amazing fishing contests!  This year is sure to be no exception as we continue to grow in sponsorship and overall number of participants.  In previous years, thousands of dollars in cash and prizes have been awarded to top placers in either age categories (youth derby) or over all weight of certain species such as trout.

The 2011 Fort Carson Eco-Fest will be filled with so many exciting and enriching activities that you will want to spend the day with us exploring the magical word of nature and the environment.  Eco-Fest is an interactive, educational community event designed for all ages with the purpose to educate and entertain while showcasing what we can do for the environment and what the environment can do for us! Harlem Ambassadors Basketball Show on 23 April
Come join us for a fun filled night with the Harlem Ambassadors Basketball Show, which is part of the Month of the Military Child festivities, on 23 April at the Fort Carson Special Events Center! The Harlem Ambassadors deliver a quality basketball show to audiences throughout the United States and internationally. The show is fun for customers of all ages, with youngsters being awed for the first time and older folks enjoying the tried-and-true gags like a rerun of a favorite comedy movie. 
The event is free, no tickets required!

In celebration of the Month of the Military Child in April, the Fort Carson Thunder Alley Bowling Center offers free cosmic bowling for military children on Saturday, April 9.
Offer is open to DoD ID card holder and includes three free games per child plus shoes!
Time is from 1-3 p.m.

Balfour Beatty Communities and MWR would like to invite you to join the Mountain Post Running Club. If you are a runner and want to have some running fun and relax at the Hub/Foxhole sports bar afterward, this is the club for you!  The club with gather every Wednesday for a 5K/10K run. We will have our kick off run on April 13.
v	Check in is at the Hub (Bldg. 1532) between 5pm and 6pm on Wednesdays
v	All runners will have a choice of 5k or 10k trail options.
v	When you reach 100k in distance, BBC will give you a FREE t-shirt.
v	Walkers, children, strollers and pets are welcome too.
v	Open to the public
